In this video of SABO Academy We show what the isolator is and his use. The isolator is a rubber part used to significantly reduce the mechanical energy, that is, the vibration transmitted to the vehicle frame – and, as a consequence, to the steering wheel – as the vehicle moves along the road.
It also reduces the noise generated by the tyres as they roll along the road surface.
Isolators come in a range of shapes and have different technical characteristics depending on their type of application and the maker’s specific requests.
To fit the isolator in the shock absorber anchor we use a special oily solution that allows it to be inserted correctly in its seat without damaging it.
As we can see, this task is performed with great care on each individual piece. This ensures it is prepared in the best possible way, so that once it is installed it responds optimally to the stress it is subject to.
